Jaffrey native and realist artist Jeanne Duval will be the next speaker in the Jaffrey Civic Center’s first season of “Stories to Share,” presenting “Experiences that Shaped my Life as a Painter” April 1 at 5 p.m.

Duval has received three MacDowell Colony Fellowships, two pollock-Krasner Foundation Grants a grant from the Ingram-Merrill Foundation and a National Endowment for the Arts grant. Her work is in several collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Art Space NYC and the Bayly Art Museum. She has also had several solo exhibitions in addition to participating in several group exhibitions.

Duval’s program will be available as an in-person event at the Jaffrey Civic Center, 40 Main St., as well as via Zoom. Registration is required, and the center is requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
