Bruce Wilson, pharmacist at the CVS on Dublin Road, is an outstanding role model of “grace under pressure.” In the years we have been patronizing this CVS, we have never been disappointed with their customer service. The employees are attentive, good-natured and helpful.
We are not sure if Bruce has set this tone, but he certainly exemplifies it. Often, we leave the store, shaking our heads, smiling and wondering, “How can he keep up this pace?” He fills prescriptions, answers questions, takes phone calls, advises other employees and even gives vaccine shots painlessly.
He does all of this with a humble, gentle and kind demeanor. There is no hint of stress or impatience. During this precarious time, there are many whose professional lives have been painfully disrupted. Sometimes it seems as though there are not enough people who rise above the anxiety, unease and uncertainty to remind us of the importance of providing comfort in every encounter. Bruce Wilson does this.
Unfortunately, we sometimes overlook the significant contributions of those who do their jobs in an exemplary way and make others’ lives better. Thank you, Bruce Wilson. We recognize and greatly appreciate your efforts.
