As I drove onto Grove Street, two women who had come out of the Town House and walked between two parked cars without a look in any direction except straight across the street walked in front of my vehicle. As I pulled to the mail drop box in back of the post office, a woman drove her vehicle up the wrong way past the drop box and I waited for where I legally can drive.

As I walked to the UPS drop box, I had to stop and stare at a man driving a large pickup truck so he would “allow” me to walk across the crosswalk. When I walked across Grove Street in front of Harlow’s Pub, I had to stop. A car was trying to enter the entranceway between the dental practice and the Monadnock Center, but was stopped at the angle of his turn in Grove Street by a man in his car exiting that entry lane.

The other day, I was at the plaza where Rite Aid to Ocean State have their businesses and people were driving up the entrance lane instead of being in the exit side of the parking lot. This is a frequent occurrence I have observed.

We need access to crosswalks and drivers driving in their proper lanes. What is so hard about reading traffic signs and seeing direction arrows? I am not talking about this information being covered under snow and/or ice. People just look back at you like you are the one in error. Come on folks, wake up and join reality. Youngsters see your behavior and accept it for fact so they will perpetuate these problems. What will it take to keep all of us safe when you continually do what you choose?
