Jaffrey Public Library’s Curious Minds Book Club for ages 7 to 10 will meet on Zoom Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 4 p.m. with plans to resume in-person in February.

January’s book is “Recordmania: Atlas of the Incredible” by AlexandreVerhille. Copies will be provided for participants to keep, along with an activity packet to completed together at the Zoom discussion.  

My First Book Club for ages 4 to 6 will resume in-person at 38 Main St. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 4 p.m. Participants can sign up and come to the library to check out a copy to read at home before the discussion and activity in the library. This group will be limited to six children. Register here.

The library’s adult “Gather Around a Book” online book discussion will be about “The Sparrow” by Mary Doria Russell Tuesday, Jan. 11 at 6:30 p.m. Kiki Berk will moderate the discussion.

The discussion for Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 6:30 p.m. will be about “Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants” by Robin Wall Kimmerer, facilitated by Damian Costello. Register here.

The book club will kick off Women’s History Month Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. with a discussion of “Gilded Suffragists: The New York Socialites Who Fought for Women’s Right to Vote” by Johanna Neuman, facilitated by Liz Tentarelli.
