Here ye, here ye, here ye. Come all Sharon private property owners to the Jan. 11  Planning Board meeting to discuss private property rights at 6 p.m.

The prior meeting, there was a rebellion versus the committee that tried to ram through new restrictions on the town’s landowners. The following week, the chairman of the Planning Board requested a police officer to restore order, which I’m disappointed in, because it feels like they’re threatening me. Since I moved to Sharon three years ago, three town officials have visited my land to tell me what I can and cannot do to my land. Jan. 11 at Town Hall, the government intends to add more teeth and more restrictions to existing bylaws. I pray for reconciliation between town officials and the people they serve. I hope we can solve our differences like men rather than the “servant/master “-like atmosphere that persists. My grandfather taught me what is one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. It seems the iron fist is seeping into our town.
