Thank you for the lovely article regarding the Greenville train station restoration (“Restoring the rail station,” Dec. 9). My great-grandmother’s family spent many summers in the 1890s at a farm in Temple. I have a bell with 1896 and the farm name on it, as well as letters written on farm stationery.
They always took the train from Cambridge (probably by way of Townsend back then) to Greenville. Since I moved up here several years ago, I often go through Greenville and Temple, wondering what it was like for my grandmother to visit her as a teenager. I look forward to seeing Tom’s and Clint’s progress to bring back the original look!
