On Nov. 13, Peterborough Cub Scout Pack 8 and BSA Boy Scout Troop 8 will be collecting food to stock up the Peterborough Food Pantry for the holiday season.
People can either drop off donated items at one of the collection sites, or send an email to bsatroop8nh@gmail.com with an address to request a food pickup. Food must be put out at the end of the driveway by 9 a.m. on Nov. 13. Food items must be nonperishable and not expired. Monetary donations can also be accepted, checks made out to Peterborough Food Pantry.
Dropoff locations Nov. 13 are Peterborough Food Pantry from 9 a.m. to noon, Peterborough Recycling Center from 8:45 a.m. to noon and Hancock Transfer Station from 9 a.m. to noon. The Scouts will also be collecting food at Hancock Market through Nov. 13.
This year’s “Scouting for Food” effort will benefit more than 150 pantries, kitchens and closets throughout New Hampshire.
