Francestown is hosting a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Wednesday, Aug. 11, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Pfizer shots are available for kids ages 12 to 17, and adults have their choice between Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. The event is first come, first serve.

Town Administrator Jamie Pike said he arranged for the stateโ€™s mobile vaccination van to visit after having a conversation with a resident who wanted a vaccine, but didnโ€™t know where he should go to get one. โ€œCheshire Medical called the next day,โ€ Pike said, describing the process to setย  up the clinic as โ€œreally easy.โ€ The townโ€™s received inquiries as well as some solid commitments, he said. It didnโ€™t cost Francestown anything to host the clinic, Pike said. Shots are free for recipients.

Participants should bring an ID, and their vaccination card if theyโ€™re seeking a second shot. An RSVP with the town office is requested, but not required: 547-3469 or selectmensoffice@francestownnh.org.
