Francestown is hosting a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Wednesday, Aug. 11, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Pfizer shots are available for kids ages 12 to 17, and adults have their choice between Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. The event is first come, first serve.
Town Administrator Jamie Pike said he arranged for the stateโs mobile vaccination van to visit after having a conversation with a resident who wanted a vaccine, but didnโt know where he should go to get one. โCheshire Medical called the next day,โ Pike said, describing the process to setย up the clinic as โreally easy.โ The townโs received inquiries as well as some solid commitments, he said. It didnโt cost Francestown anything to host the clinic, Pike said. Shots are free for recipients.
Participants should bring an ID, and their vaccination card if theyโre seeking a second shot. An RSVP with the town office is requested, but not required: 547-3469 or selectmensoffice@francestownnh.org.
