A single-dose vaccination for COVID-19 is available at a walk-in clinic in Wilton this weekend.
In partnership with the City of Nashua Department of Health and Welfare, Wilton is able to offer a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at its Ambulance bay this Saturday.
From 9 to 11 a.m., walk-ins are welcome and can receive the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Participants in the clinic do not have to be Wilton residents, but must be over 18 years old. There is no charge for the vaccination, and medical insurance is not required.
Wilton Ambulance Director Sherry Miller encouraged anyone interested to walk-in on Saturday. So far, she said, there has only been a small amount of interest and pre-registrations, with an expected 8 appointments at the ambulance bay, and another 3 homebound residents who will be getting a home visit for vaccination.
โThis is a good opportunity, so we encourage walk-ins,โ Miller said. โBecause itโs single-dose, they donโt have to worry about making a follow-up appointment.โ
Participants will register and receive their vaccinations in the ambulance bay, and are recommended to remain on the premises in their vehicles for up to 15 minutes after receiving their vaccination to ensure they donโt have an immediate adverse reaction.
No appointment is necessary. If you have any questions, contact Miller at (603) 848-1678.
Anyone who is homebound or lacking transportation can still contact Miller to request a home visit for vaccination.
