The River Center Family and Community Resource Center is offering phone assistance to any area resident who is applying for the NH Department of Revenue Administration’s Low and Moderate Income Homeowners Property Tax Relief program, due June 30.

Qualified homeowners with adjusted gross income of $20,000 (single) or $40,000 (married) are required to submit a copy of their final property tax bill as well as their 2019 tax return with the application form (Form DP-8). Given the federal July 15 filing extension, an existing provision is allowing NHDRA to accept applications after the June 30 date, until Nov. 1 if the Commissioner believes an individual was prevented from completing his or her application in certain circumstances.

The River Center is making copies of the form available this week for applicants without internet access. The forms will be located in the lobby by the front entrance to 9 Vose Farm Road, next to the Drop-Off Packets for the Drive-Thru Valet VITA event being held on Saturday, June 27. If qualified homeowners have a filing requirement and have not yet filed their 2019 returns, they are encouraged to participate in this drive-thru event as well.
