Mason residents can honor their elementary, middle school and high school graduates on May 30, during a “Parade of Graduates” through the town.
On May 30, at 1 p.m., graduates from the fifth grade, eighth grade, and high school seniors, have been invited to drive through town to receive their congratulations.
Participating graduates should line up along Darling Hill Road in their cars at 1 p.m. The parade route will follow Meetinghouse Hill Road onto Wilton Road, turn at the cul de sac on Pullman Road back to Wilton Road, Russell Road, Starch Mill Road, Old County Road, Brookline Road, Campbell Mill Road, Hurricane Hill Road, Townsend Road, Depot Road, and Valley Road before ending at the New Hampshire/Massachusetts state line.
Residents along the route are encouraged to join in by going to the end of their driveways or a location along the route and cheering for students as they pass, with signs, music, or just waving and cheering.
The parade is expected to last approximately 45 minutes to an hour. The rain date for the parade is Sunday, May 31, at the same time.
