The next delegation of musicians from Keene’s partner city, Einbeck, Germany will visit from Oct. 4-11, including 22 Kantorei singers, three violinists, and their director Ulrike Hastedt. One of the violinists is the Mayor of Einbeck, Sabine Michalek. The music exchange will bridge campus-public school-church musicians: Keene State College Chamber Singers and Concert Choir, Keene High School Choir and Jazz Band, and the United Church of Christ (UCC) choir.

The eight-day visit will include rehearsals for a collaborative performance of Franz Schubert’s “Mass in G” and performances by Einbeck’s violin trio and participating choirs. The Keene-Einbeck Choirs collaborative concert is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the United Church of Christ in Keene. There will be a pre-concert lecture by KSC’s Dr. Joseph Darby at 7 p.m. followed by a 7:30 p.m. performance. Entrance by suggested donation of $10 donation at the door.
