Francestown’s 2019 reevaluation manual was released on Monday. The report is available on Francestown’s website, and explains how Avitar Associates of New England developed this year’s real estate assessments.

Town Administrator Jamie Pike said Tuesday that the average property values for the town increased 14 percent from the last assessment in 2014. He said it’s too soon to know how the increase will affect tax rates. “We’re waiting for the state to finalize their budget, and we haven’t heard from ConVal yet,” he said, and that he expected to know more about the revised tax rate in late October.
