Hockey-playing twin sisters Abby and Haylie Drew of Jaffrey have been named to the USA Ball Hockey U20 women’s national team for the 2020 world championships.
The Drews represented the United States on the U20 team last summer at the World Ball Hockey Championships in Prerov, Czech Republic as well.
The 2020 world championships are scheduled for July 2-5 in Slovakia, hosted by the Slovak Ball Hockey Union.
Ball hockey is essentially floor hockey, played with a ball instead of a puck, sneakers instead of skates, usually on a plastic tiled court.
USA Ball Hockey is a national program that is affiliated with USA Hockey and the NHL Network.
