A vehicle swerved off Route 202 and down the embankment while traveling northbound through Jaffrey on Thursday morning.

Police Chief William Oswalt said officers were summoned to the intersection of Peterborough Road and Nutting Road at 8:37 a.m.

According to a police report, Kathleen Eichorn, 71, of Jaffrey believed a truck driven by Matthew Gallow of Hillsborough was pulling into her lane, which caused her to swerve her 2018 Toyota Rav4 off the road and down the embankment.

The vehicles did not collide.

Passenger Fred Eichorn, 74, complained of back and neck pain after the vehicle went off the road and went to Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough. There were no other reported injuries. All vehicles were driven from the scene.
