A Jaffrey man recently pled guilty to felonious false imprisonment and aggravated sexual assault in Cheshire County Superior Court in Keene and was given a year in the county jail at sentencing.

Elijah Fogg, 18, of Hadley Road, Jaffrey, was indicted on four felonies by a Cheshire County Superior Court grand jury in Keene on June 24 – one count of false imprisonment, two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of aggravated sexual assault through concealment.

The indictments alleged Fogg had sex with a female “through concealment or by the element of surprise,” before his alleged victim was able to flee or resist a year ago when he was 17 on April 12, 2018, that he continued sexual contact with the female after she told him to stop and that he held her with his hand to prevent her from pulling away from him.

In the Cheshire County Superior Court on July 25, he pled guilty to one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault and the count of false imprisonment. The other aggravated sexual assault charge and aggravated sexual assault charge through concealment were dropped.

He was sentenced to two years in the county jail with at least one year suspended for ten years pending his good behavior.  He is also on probation for two years and upon release required to receive counseling, treatment or educational programs, have no contact with the victim and to obtain a psycho-sexual evaluation and comply with any recommended follow-up.
