I just read an article in the NY Times that pointed out that more people in America own guns than in any other country in the world, and guess what, we also have the most gun crimes. Much more than any other country does.
It’s clear from the example of other countries that the more restrictions on guns, the less horrible incidents we will have like the recent killing sprees in Texas and Ohio.
Gov. Sununu currently has three gun bills sitting on his desk: HB 109, which requires background checks; HB 514, which requires a three-day waiting period before receiving a purchased gun; HB 564, which prohibits guns within a school zone (except for on police resource officers).
If Gov. Sununu doesn’t sign these gun restriction bills he must recognize his responsibility when the next person pulls a trigger and kills someone in New Hampshire.
