An autopsy determined Benjamin Whitehill’s death to be an accidental drowning, according to a representative from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Tuesday.
Whitehill was found dead in Lake Winnipesaukee on Aug. 4. He was 34, and a Peterborough resident. New Hampshire Marine Patrol Lt. Crystal McLain said that her department continues to receive follow-up statements as they await a routine toxicology report. The final incident report will likely be released in a month, she said.
