The Rindge Select Board plans to interview candidates for Town Administrator this week.
Executive Secretary Michele Christian said on Monday that the town had received 29 applications by the Aug. 5 deadline. She said the Select Board would be holding a nonpublic session at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, to make a list of candidates to interview. The board plans to begin interviews next week.
Current Town Administrator Joe Byk’s three-year contract expires Aug. 29. The Select Board voted to not renew his contract in a nonpublic session on July 3.
“Joe Byk is a great guy and we’re really going to miss him here,” Christian said.
