The Wilton-Lyndeborough Cooperative School District will spend about $20,000 this summer to repair the edges of the middle/high school parking lot.

During its meeting on Tuesday, the board approved a bid by Champion Paving to address several edge piecesย of the parking lot, for a total cost of $19,120.

โ€œWeโ€™ll get it scheduled as soon as school gets out, and it must be completed before school begins,โ€ said School Board Chair Harry Dailey in an interview Wednesday.ย

Championโ€™s bid included an itemized list that could also have addressed other problem spots in the parking lot for an additional $10,000, but the School Board decided to address the areas of the parking lot that were in the most urgent need, said Dailey.

โ€œUltimately, weโ€™ll probably do the whole parking lot,โ€ he said. โ€œBut our facility management recommends that we phase that in over time, because itโ€™s a pretty significant project, and a lot of the parking lot is in pretty good shape.โ€

The board also received bids from Tate Brothers for $18,900 for patching and Hudson Paving for $36,400.
