The Wilton-Lyndeborough Cooperative School District will spend about $20,000 this summer to repair the edges of the middle/high school parking lot.
During its meeting on Tuesday, the board approved a bid by Champion Paving to address several edge piecesย of the parking lot, for a total cost of $19,120.
โWeโll get it scheduled as soon as school gets out, and it must be completed before school begins,โ said School Board Chair Harry Dailey in an interview Wednesday.ย
Championโs bid included an itemized list that could also have addressed other problem spots in the parking lot for an additional $10,000, but the School Board decided to address the areas of the parking lot that were in the most urgent need, said Dailey.
โUltimately, weโll probably do the whole parking lot,โ he said. โBut our facility management recommends that we phase that in over time, because itโs a pretty significant project, and a lot of the parking lot is in pretty good shape.โ
The board also received bids from Tate Brothers for $18,900 for patching and Hudson Paving for $36,400.
