To the editor:
As you may know, I am running for a second term on the Peterborough Select Board. Today I am reaching out to you for support.
For the past three years I have worked hard to represent you, seeking to understand the issues at hand while anticipating those ahead. I believe I bring diversity to the Select Board, of age, opinion and representation. Your Select Board has presented responsible budgets that factor in all of our operating costs to maintain the quality services that we as townspeople count on, as well as funding the Capital Improvement Plan that forecasts the future needs of the town infrastructure.
As liaison to the Agricultural Commission, Conservation Commission, Heritage Commission, Master Plan Steering Committee and Recycling Center Advisory Committee, I have advocated for their missions and how their work improves the economic vitality and quality of life we enjoy here in Our Town.
While the political climate continues to heat up in Washington, we are seeing divisiveness rise in our own region. I will continue my role on the Select Board as a compassionate, level-headed listener who seeks common ground, and continue to work toward furthering the welcoming atmosphere we have come to count on.
I am a father, husband and carpenter. Working to bring entrepreneurs and mentors together, I became a co-founder/board member of MAxT MakerSpace and co-founded the local Repair Café.
Thank you for your consideration.
