Francestown has 15 open elected official positions across nine separate offices this year.
Incumbent select board member Abigail Arnold’s term is up this year. Members of the Select Board serve a three-year term.
Town Moderator Paul Lawrence’s position is up for grabs this year. The term is two years.
The town treasurer position is up for reelection. Kimberlee Dalley currently holds the seat, which has a one-year term.
A library trustee, two trustees of trust funds, a public assistance administrator, a cemetery commission, five fire wardens and two planning board positions are all open for reelection.
The first day to file declarations of candidacy or nomination petitions with the town clerk is Wednesday, Jan. 25. The last day for filing is Friday, Feb. 3 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The town election will be held on Tuesday, March 14. The voting process will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
