A wonderful event

To the editor:

Donna Reed, Jimmy Stewart, and Dennis Markaverich have done it again! They ushered us all into the Christmas spirit with “It’s a Wonderful Life” shown at the Wilton Town Hall Theater on Dec. 18. The only admission price was a non-perishable food item for the Open Cupboard Pantry, a food source for families in need who reside in Temple, Wilton, Lyndeborough and Greenfield.

The floor around the Christmas tree in the theater lobby was covered with boxes of food and the air was filled with the delicious smell of real-buttered popcorn. When Clarence got his wings the entire theater erupted in joyful applause, and theater patrons walked out into the night to find 400 luminaria candles gracing both sides of the entire length of Main Street, thanks to the Main Street Association.

A very Merry Christmas and thank-you to all!
