The New Ipswich Board of Selectmen met Tuesday, Dec. 13, to continue preparations regarding next year’s budget.

There were no additional meetings on the agenda beyond Selectboard Chair Becky Doyle and Selectman David Lage examining gaps and new developments for the budget.

One such development is a decrease in payments to the Mascenic Regional School District.

“They have revenue greater than original estimates and have reduced each town’s appropriation,” Doyle said. The towns of the Mascenic district are New Ipswich and Greenville.

New Ipswich’s monthly payment will be $562,306.35, down from $657,945.

The next meeting of the New Ipswich Board of Selectmen will be Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 6 p.m. at the town office.
