The Jaffrey Civic Center has received a $750.00 grant from The Keith M. Sullivan Foundation of Greenfield, NH in support of its new After School program. In keeping with their foundation mission, the KMS Foundation awards grants to organizations or programs “which provide social, health and safety services to children”. The Jaffrey Civic Center is planning to offer a small K-8 After School program in 2017 through the end of the school year in June 2017. The program will take up to 30 children on a first come first serve basis. The program is a student-centered enrichment program which is based on respect, outside activities, critical thinking skills and access to art, math, writing and more. Fees for the program will be based on a sliding scale between $60-$80 per month. The grant will allow the Civic Center to offer a select number of scholarships to Jaffrey children which will completely cover the costs of the program. For more information about the Jaffrey Civic Center Afterschool program and how to apply for a scholarship, please contact Regina Vorce at 532-6527.
