The Stephenson Memorial Library will welcome a special guest from the North Pole, Santa himself, on Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. for the annual Christmas tree lighting on the library lawn, with old-fashioned caroling.
The tree lighting will be followed by a special storytime with holiday stories read by Santa in the library rotunda, and then the jolly elf will take the time to hear all the children’s special wishes. Free refreshments and children’s crafts will be available.
The free event is sponsored by the Greenfield Independent Volunteers and the Friends of the Stephenson Memorial Library. Cameras are welcome.
