The Park Theatre is holding its Annual Meeting and Reception on Dec. 1 at the Jaffrey Woman’s Club in downtown Jaffrey. This will be the 10th annual meeting and reception program held by The Park Theatre. The free event begins at 5pm and the public is invited.

Holiday food and drink is served and music is provided by Louise and Bernie Watson. A review of the past year as well as an update on the construction of the new theatre begins the program. The highlight of the evening is renowned silent film accompanist, Jeff Rapsis. Jeff Rapsis is a writer/editor, educator, and also a composer and performer who specializes in creating live musical scores for silent film screenings. He has performed extensively throughout New England and the United States.

Jeff will accompany three classic holiday short silent films: Laurel and Hardy’s “Big Business” (1929), The first film made of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” (1910) and “Twas The Night before Christmas” (1905).
