Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer players Marius Preber and Jacob Blixt have been selected to the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association Men’s Soccer East Region First Team it was announced Wednesday afternoon.
Preber was named a First Team forward and Blixit a First Team midfielder.
Preber, a NE-10 First Team choice, ranks third in scoring with 13 goals, is third in total points (28) and fourth in shots (56). Preber tied with Blixt for the team lead in game-winning goals (4).
Blixt was the 2016 NE-10 Rookie of the Year,The freshman ranked second in assists (10), second in shots (60), fourth in points (28) and sixth in goals (9).
Blixt had an impressive collegiate debut as he racked up a hat-trick (three goals), one assist which amassed to a total of seven points in the 5-2 season opening victory over Bridgeport on September 3rd. The freshman led the squad with four game-winning goals and recorded four games with three or more points.
