FIELD HOCKEY FPU ends season with another loss

Three second-half goals were the difference on Friday afternoon, as No. 6 nationally ranked LIU Post dealt a 3-0 defeat to the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team, in the latter’s season finale. Sophomore forward Emily Miller scored the game-winning goal in the 37th minute of the Northeast-10 Conference contest at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Field.

With the loss, Franklin Pierce concludes its season at 3-14 (0-12 Northeast-10) and closes the 2016 campaign on a seven-game losing streak.

For Franklin Pierce, the season stands as the first winless Conference season in program history. The Ravens finished the campaign marred in a scoreless drought of 386:05 and were shutout in each of their final five games.
