Composer Eric Moe, who is at The MacDowell Colony for his tenth residency, appeared Friday night at The Monadnock Center for History and Culture as part of the monthly MacDowell Downtown series. Moe spoke about his work, performed a selection of piano pieces written at MacDowell, and showed a video excerpt from Tri-Stan, a one-woman opera based on a story from David Foster Wallace’s “Brief Interviews with Hideous Men.” The final MacDowell Downtown of the season, which runs from March through November, will take place on Friday, Nov. 4.
