Six new directors have joined the Monadnock International Film Festival’s Board of Directors in Keene. Each of these professionals have committed their expertise to help grow the festival from an annual weekend event to a year-round cultural resource that will offer monthly screenings and events at venues from Keene to Peterborough.

Helaine Iris of Spofford, is the owner of Path of Purpose Coaching. She conducts workshops for entrepreneurs and small business owners at the Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship in Keene. Iris is a long-time fan of MONIFF.

Scott Olmstead of Keene, is the Sales and Compliance Director at The Richards Group. He is also a member of the Keene Rotary Club, and sings with the Keene Cheshiremen, a barbershop quartet that performs throughout the Monadnock region.

Sandra Neil Wallace of Keene, was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. Sandra became a journalist and anchored the CTV network news before becoming one of the first woman sportscasters for ESPN. She has written several books with her husband, Rich Wallace. They are currently on tour with their newest book, Blood Brothers, the story of local civil rights hero Jonathan Daniels.

Debra White-Stanley is an Associate Professor of Film Studies at Keene State College and head of the film faculty. Her presence on the board continues the close ties the festival has with Keene State College film faculty and students.

Sean Wiley of Jaffrey, works at Keene Public Library. He’s a long-time MONIFF fan, and supporter of the arts. He hosts a music radio show on the Keene State College radio station.

Larry Schwartz of Hancock, is the owner and President of PHC Financial. A self-professed film fanatic who hails from Chicago, Larry took classes with renowned film critic Roger Ebert. Schwartz also donates his time doing tax prep for nonprofits and individuals who can’t afford to pay for this service.
