Langella at Milford Toadstool Saturday

Author Peter Langella will visit the Milford Toadstool Bookshop to discuss his epic historical fiction series, “A Warrior’s Heart,” on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m.

The series, set during the Trojan War in 1200 BCE, encompasses three volumes: book one, “Battle for the Ancient City,” set on the coast of southeastern Thrace; book two, “Labyrinth of the Sun,” amid the Thracian wilderness; and book three, “The Golden Bow,” among the rugged Thracian mountains.

After leaving a career in masonry in his early 30s, Langella graduated valedictorian, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English education from Notre Dame College. He has taught many classes, including persuasive writing, British literature, creative writing, and Greek mythology. He has had numerous published in respected literary presses, and has had three plays produced in community theaters.

He lives with his wife and two dogs in Londonderry.
