To the editor:
I respectfully urge my fellow Peterborough Republicans to support Gary Carpenter for state representative in next moth’s GOP primary. And I urge voters of all persuasions to vote for him in the November general election.
Gary has a long record of advocating for veterans and an equally long record of working to prevent and treat substance abuse. The current national and statewide campaigns promise enormous controversy and partisanship. But locally we have the chance to vote for someone who has devoted his life to goals upon which we can all agree: fair and respectful treatment of our veterans and combating the growing scourge of substance abuse that afflicts our state.
Gary Carpenter is an excellent candidate with an enviable record of service to our community. He would represent us well in Concord.
