As soon as the red ribbon was cut, about 20 children descended onto the new Dublin Consoldiated School playground.
Children were first able to play on the playground on Sunday after the school had a ribbon cutting ceremony.
“It’s amazing,” said Emily Bennett DCS PTO treasurer and chair of the playground committee, of the playground’s completion. “I love the colors and the kids seem to be enjoying it.”
The plan to replace the existing decades-old playground has been in development for about a year and a half, with the parent-teacher organization raising funds and partnering with other municipal groups.
“The amount of support was incredible,” said Bennett, regarding the community build day that took place on Aug. 13. “Around 40 people showed up and worked throughout the day.”
