Due to scheduling conflicts among the candidates, the Monadnock Debates featuring the Democratic and Republican candidates for governor and the candidates for the U.S. Senate seat will not be held at Franklin Pierce University. The Democratic gubernatorial debate was scheduled for Aug. 16, and the Republican gubernatorial debate was to be held this evening.
The Republican candidates in Congessional District II are expected to debate on Sept. 1, with Eric Estevez, Jack Flanagan, Andy Martin and Casy Newell as confirmed attendees.
The debate will take place at Franklin Pierce, beginning at 6 p.m.
