The board and staff of TEAM Jaffrey are proud to announce that Jaffrey’s largest employer, the life science business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, which operates as MilliporeSigma in the United States and Canada, is supporting TEAM Jaffrey in the form of long-term community involvement and a strong investment of employee volunteers. These volunteers provide a boost to help in TEAM’s efforts to enhance, revitalize and improve downtown Jaffrey, where the majority of MilliporeSigma employees and their families live and work.
“The initiative will benefit both the company and the community,” explained TEAM’s Executive Director Melanie McDonald. “TEAM’s efforts will have a boost thanks to involvement from new volunteers and MilliporeSigma employees who can play a critical role in helping to shape their community.”
MilliporeSigma employees volunteered during TEAM Jaffrey’s cleanup day this past spring, showing appreciation for their employer and their town.

In addition to a strong volunteer commitment, MilliporeSigma is sponsoring several of TEAM Jaffrey’s free community initiatives, including Free Summer Concerts on the Common (Wednesdays in July), Riverfest (July 30) and Scarecrows on the Common (October 8).
