The 37th Anniversary Betty Pels Run For The Honey takes place on Saturday, Aug. 20 during Hancock Old Home Days. The 5K race (3.1 miles) starts at 8 a.m. Register online and pay on race day. Hancock residents pay a $5 entry fee; non-residents pay $10.

The free Kidsโ Fun Run starts at 9 a.m. at the bandstand. Register only on race day! Sign Kidsโ Run participants up on race morning: parent or guardian signature required.
The first 100 registrants for the 5K will receive a jar of honey.
There are awards for the first three finishers in each of nine categories for male and female ranging from 13 and under to 80 and over.

The course is a โbee-utifulโ and challenging course through Hancock, on treelined paved and gravel roads. Two moderate hills (Evergreen Hill Road and Mill Road) and plenty of rolling terrain, finish near the Meetinghouse and vestry on Main Street.
Start: School Streetโจ(200 yards east of registration)
There is a water station at the 2-mile mark. Bathrooms at registration and the finish.
