As part of its commitment to promote economic development in the communities where People’s United Bank operates, the People’s United Community Foundation, the philanthropic arm of People’s United Bank, announced today that it has awarded a $5,000 grant to the Hannah Grimes Center of Keene.

The Hannah Grimes Center provides programs specifically designed to increase the success rate of small businesses and nonprofit organizations, including an entrepreneurship program, training workshops, and coaching sessions. The funding brings the total amount awarded by People’s United Community Foundation to the organization to more than $50,000.

“People’s United Community Foundation has been a Key Partner program supporter since 2009 and we are grateful for their dedication,” said MaryAnn Kristiansen, Executive Director, Hannah Grimes Center.

“We are pleased to continue our partnership with the Hannah Grimes Center as they teach, nurture and support the backbone of our local economy,” said Dianne Mercier, of People’s United Community Foundation.
