The family musical “Miss Nelson Is Missing!” will be presented by the Peterborough Players with an opening performance on Friday, July 1.
Based on the children’s book of the same name by Harry Allard and James Marshall, the show with book, music and lyrics by Joan Cushing will be performed by the Players’ Second Company.
The Class of Room 207 are the “worst kids of all” and their sweet, caring teacher, Miss Nelson, cannot control her crazy classroom. The kids want nothing more than to be left to their own devices and when they learn that Miss Nelson will no longer be teaching their class, they think their wish has come true — that is until they meet her replacement. Now the kids want nothing more than to go back to the way things were. But Miss Nelson is nowhere to be found. Can the kids solve the mystery of Miss Nelson’s disappearance?
Performances will be held on July 1, 2, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 22 and 23, all at 10:30 a.m.
Tickets are $8 for children and $10 for adults and can be purchased by calling the box office at 924-7585 or online at www.peterboroughplayers.org.
