Electric Earth Concerts will present a performance by Trio Cleonice on Friday, May 27, at the First Church in Jaffrey.
The piano trio from Boston, featuring violinist Ari Isaacman-Beck, cellist Gwen Krosnick, and pianist Emely Phelps, will play its final concerts as Trio Cleonice in May and June.
This program will include Mozart’s Trio in G, K. 496, Donald Martino’s Piano Trio, and Mendelssohn’s Trio in C minor, Op. 66.
As Graduate Piano-Trio-in-Residence at the New England Conservatory of Music, the group competed internationally, taking second prize at the Schoenfeld International Competition in Harbin, China. Their many concerts include annual recitals in Boston’s Jordan Hall, a debut at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and a European tour where they played in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
This is the trio’s sixth appearance in the Monadnock region. They also have been frequent guests at Avaloch Farm Music Institute in Boscawen, at Yellow Barn in Putney, Vermont, and at Kneisel Hall summer music school in Blue Hill, Maine.
During this Monadnock region visit, the Trio also will perform for the residents of the Crotched Mountain Center in Greenfield, carrying on Electric Earth Concerts’ outreach commitment to our community.
Admission to this 7:30 p.m. event is $25.
