Katie Day of Wilton, a senior at Elmira College, was recently honored by her school for her play on the softball field. Day was awarded the Booster Club Softball Player of the Year award. Day, a catcher, started all 24 games for the Soaring Eagles, batting .297 with 12 RBI on the year.
