The fifth annual tag sale benefiting the Rindge Boy Scout Troop 308 will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of Routes 202 and 119 in Rindge.
The tag sale is one of two major fundraiser for Troop 308, the other being the annual turkey dinner held in October. Monies raised from these fundraisers allow the Boy Scouts to regularly attend Spring and Fall Camporees, summer camp, an annual bike trip to Cape Cod, monthly campouts, and Merit Badge requirements. In additional to these annual events, special outings are also planned each year with previous trips included a camping trip to Fort Ticonderoga and kayaking in the Outer Banks. This year, Troop 308 is planning their first international trip to Nova Scotia.

Troop 308 has 23 members, including two new Eagle Scouts, who regularly contribute to the Rindge community. A few of their contributions include helping with Earth Day clean – up, Scouting for Food, assisting the Veteran’s Association with flag placements and removal on veteran’s graves, setting-up for and participating in parades, improving trail systems, and walking paths.
