The 2015 tax season at The River Center: Family and Community Resource Center has ended. Over two dozen volunteers, led by volunteer coordinator Larry Schwartz, prepared 713 tax returns, which yielded $1,167,243 in tax refunds.
The total at The River Center for the earned income tax credit received this year was $444,273; child tax credit was $172,858; and education credit was $43,133. The average income of this year’s recipients was $22,658.
