In support of pro-cleantechlegislation

To the editor:

Last February, the New Hampshire Clean Tech Council released a market report that stated as many as 20,000 New Hampshire workers are currently employed in the cleantech business sector. It also stated that this sector is growing at a higher rate than the rest of the state, and that on average, these jobs pay 50 percent more than the state’s average annual wage.

One of these booming cleantech industries is solar, which was slowed when New Hampshire’s arbitrary net metering cap was reached. The N.H. Senate and House recently passed legislation that increased the cap, which the governor has pledged to sign in order to keep this sector of our economy growing.

I wanted express my sincerest appreciation to Senator Andy Sanborn for his tireless effort in ensuring the passage of this pro-jobs, pro-cleantech legislation.
