Capt. Raymond Gonsalves of Rindge recently retired from the Massachusetts Department of Correction after a 25-year career.
During Gonsalves’ career, he served the Massachusetts Department of Correction in many roles. He became a member of the Department of Correction Honor Guard in 1995 and served as the commander since August 2007.
Gonsalves also was the Officer in Charge of recruit training, where his team trained over 2,600 new correctional professionals.
A few weeks back, Gonsalves was also named to the Criminal Justice Alumni Hall of Fame at his alma mater, Westfield State University.
