A hand-building pottery class for adults led by Shana Brautigam of Rooted in Clay will be offered at the Jaffrey Civic Center.
Students will learn to pinch, stretch, roll, coil, and hand-sculpt the clay into many different shaped pots. Surface design will be explored through the use of stamps and natural textures to imprint into the clay. Students will have the opportunity to make bowls, mugs, vases, and pots with lids.
Classes will be held on Tuesdays, April 26, May 3, 10 and 24, from 10 a.m. to noon. The final class will be held at Rooted in Clay in Rindge.
The cost is $120. Materials will be provided.
