The Franklin Pierce University women’s tennis team was defeated on Friday afternoon, 8-1, at home by Regis in non-conference play.
With the loss, Franklin Pierce falls to 1-14.
Sophomore Sonia Rodrigues picked up the lone point of the day for the Ravens at first singles on Friday. She matched up with Regis junior Erica Murphy and pulled out an 8-6 victory. With the match moved inside due to wet weather, all six singles matches were played in the pro-set format.
The Ravens return to the court on Sunday when they travel to Hartford.
