GFA Federal Credit Union and the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce Education Committee will partner with area businesses to provide a financial education experience for ConVal High School students on Thursday.

The event, known as the ConVal Reality Fair, will be held at the high school from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. ConVal juniors are learning financial literacy skills throughout the year in the Consumer Ed class, with specialized curriculum provided by GFA Federal Credit Union. The in-classroom education is organized by Lynn Hebert of GFA and Mary Lou O’Neil, School to Work Coordinator at ConVal.

Volunteers from the business community will man tables throughout the event to speak with the students about budget choices like housing, transportation, whether to take a vacation or adopt a pet. Anyone interested in volunteering should email Pam Lorimer at pam@jackdanielsinn.com or call Christy at the Chamber at 924-7234.
