Q. Why did you start your business in the Monadnock region?
A. I started my business in the Monadnock region because it’s home to me. I was born in Peterborough, grew up between Francestown/Greenfield, and went to ConVal. I could not imagine working anywhere else. I have lived in Jaffrey for 20 years and knew this is where I would start my business. Being connected to my community through my role on the Jaffrey Chamber Board of Directors, networking with all the other businesses, and having Mt. Monadnock as my backdrop –priceless!
Q. What is your experience of doing business in the area?
A. I love doing business in our area. Most of my customers are not local. Many have never been to the area before. I love to “upsell” the Monadnock region and cross promote other businesses. The more reasons people have to come to our area, the more they will return. I now have many faithful customers who make a day of coming to my store and our area from Boston, Connecticut, Maine, etc.
Q. What improvements to the business environment would you recommend, to help businesses in the region succeed?
A. Everyone should be asking each and every person who walks through their door if they are familiar with our area and other things it has to offer.
