Monadnock Buy Local launched its 7th Annual Membership Drive, calling on all locally owned businesses and organizations in the region to join and support its mission to promote the positive economic and community benefits of spending dollars locally, while supporting programs and policies that forward a local, green and fair economy.
This year’s goal is to recruit 200 members from 30 towns by May 1.
Last year, membership reached 163 members from 23 towns, representing a diversity of businesses including banks, farms, nonprofits, restaurants, retail stores, service providers and more.
Willard Williams, Monadnock Buy Local Board Member and co-owner of Toadstool Bookshops, said, “By joining together, the members of Monadnock Buy Local have the opportunity to reach a much bigger group of people and, through our events and directory, get the attention of a growing community of people eager to support locally owned businesses in the Monadnock region.”
